1. When is NativeConsole actually used? I set a breakpoint on it and never managed to get to it trap when executing a native command.

2. Per your article posted elsewhere, can NativeCommand actually be used from any GUI app to write commands to the allocated console and have them executed and capture their output? Or did I completely misunderstand the article?

  1. We create it at startup, and it's pipe methods are used to route the output from the native apps to the poshconsole via events
  2. You can't just "write commands" to the allocated console -- you need to execute an application (ie: cmd.exe) and then you can "write" commands to cmd.exe via the input pipe
